Lightrealm is a lot of things that

are difficult to explain all at once...

...but I'm going to try anyway. Scroll down, and click an image to zoom in.

The game generates a detailed RPG world with many societies and countless individuals and groups, whose stories naturally form as the world generates.

Watch as entities engage in conflict, scheme against each other, and create or destroy the world around them.

With your luck, one of the thousands of people will raze your hometown while you're across the continent.

The physical and historical world are fully simulated. The game tracks the health, personalities, preferences, skills, and powers of all characters, which lead them to continue to interact with the world, and you, as you play.

Do they treat you kindly, with fear, or disgust? Do they respond to your demands? Do they immediately attack you because the group your character was in 20 years ago kidnapped their sibling?

Objects are also physically simulated, their properties, velocities, enchantments, and more all affecting the world.

Don’t use force throw to launch a lightning grenade at yourself.

Find a historical character and explore freely throughout the world. Follow a natural progression leading through increasingly dangerous locations, or experiment and find a path of your choosing.

Or find ten shibas and meld them to your face.

The turn-based combat is detailed but simple. Do you want to calculate the position of the opponent's arm and determine the quantity of bleeding needed to afflict to ensure that the fire+bleeding combo caused by your striking imbuement decreases their energy enough to...

No? You could also just shift-click your opponent until they die or you die.

Customize your character in hundreds of ways. Make a typical hack-and-slash character, a spellcasting magician, or something unique altogether.

Create a character that liquifies buildings and explodes all that falls out, a character that commands armies of charismatic shiba inus, or one that clones himself and enslaves all his clones.

Or just find that one relic that erases species, that works too.

Click the names of objects, characters, and structures to quickly interact with them, or use the tab list to interact with the world with great detail.

Probe information about local governments, personal interests, or historical data, and get truthful, lying, ignorant, or even flirtatious responses.

Climb a building, and get followed by the pursuer you pissed off. Recruit people to join you, and learn about their personality through their actions and reactions.

Or hug someone, and get brutally rejected.

Find, craft, and combine various types of equipment. Learn new spells or skills, or gain magical abilities from items or wearables.

Does your gear protect you from a wide array of threats, or does it fire twenty bolts at the enemy every time your shiba inu parries an attack?

Yes, I like shiba inus.

Discover 100+ abilities and skills from a variety of sources, ranging from simple magical enchantments to learnable methodologies to world-ending cataclysmic spells.

Find an invocation that allows you to shapeshift into others, rewiring enemy AI to treat you as the new individual. Find a spell that resurrects any character from the game's history hundreds of years ago. Find a skill that lets you dropkick your enemies like a ninja. All this and a hundred more are hiding in Lightrealm...

But of course, we all know you're going to choose the one that lets you tame shiba inus.
